About This Site

Each month I select 20 songs (10 songs twice a month) that I am either hooked on or am curious about. Most of the music I select are rock, hip-hop, R&B and pop songs.

My song selection comes from 20-30 CDs I get from various sources each month, as well as recommendations from iTunes and Amazon. I also check out the charts in US, UK and Japan.

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros - Home

Album: Up From Below

Recently I started hearing this song on the local rock radio station. I thought it was a little odd as it sounded, well odd, especially when it is played after Nirvana and before Kings of Leon. Edward Sharpe is a made up figure, but the band is really led by Alex Ebert, who used to be in a band called Ima Robot. Edward Sharpe band sounds nothing like Ima Robot, and it has folk, country vibe to their sound.
