Each month I select 20 songs (10 songs twice a month) that I am either hooked on or am curious about. Most of the music I select are rock, hip-hop, R&B and pop songs.
My song selection comes from 20-30 CDs I get from various sources each month, as well as recommendations from iTunes and Amazon. I also check out the charts in US, UK and Japan.
After producing mega-hot albums for Nelly Furtado (Loose) and Justin Timberlake (Futuresex/Lovesounds), Timbaland asks them to return a favor by singing on this track for his solo album. Contrary to the hits he produced for those two artists, this track sounds a little too complicated. There is too much going on (more than usual Timbaland), and verses by Furtado and Timberlake aren’t catchy enough. Hopefully other tracks on the album will be more catchy and club friendly.
