Each month I select 20 songs (10 songs twice a month) that I am either hooked on or am curious about. Most of the music I select are rock, hip-hop, R&B and pop songs.
My song selection comes from 20-30 CDs I get from various sources each month, as well as recommendations from iTunes and Amazon. I also check out the charts in US, UK and Japan.
To benefit Amnesty International’s campaign to save Darfur bunch of famous artists are doing a cover of John Lennon songs, since Yoko Ono is donating the publishing royalties for the cause. In March, R.E.M.’s cover of #9 Dream was released as a single, and earlier this month, Green Day’s version of Working Class Hero was released as a single. Also on the album are: U2, Christina Aguilera, Lenny Kravitz, Aerosmith, and Avril Lavigne left to cover “Imagine.”
