Each month I select 20 songs (10 songs twice a month) that I am either hooked on or am curious about. Most of the music I select are rock, hip-hop, R&B and pop songs.
My song selection comes from 20-30 CDs I get from various sources each month, as well as recommendations from iTunes and Amazon. I also check out the charts in US, UK and Japan.
I have a thing for throwback music, which British artists like Amy Winehouse and Duffy did so well. Now, another British female singer, Shingai Shoniwa and her band, Noisettes are tackling that genre, and it sounds great. They recently released their second album, Wild Young Hearts, which was a top 10 hit in the UK. The lead off single, “Don’t Upset the Rhythm” was a huge success and placed #1 on the singles chart. “Never Forget You” is the second single from the album.
