Each month I select 20 songs (10 songs twice a month) that I am either hooked on or am curious about. Most of the music I select are rock, hip-hop, R&B and pop songs.
My song selection comes from 20-30 CDs I get from various sources each month, as well as recommendations from iTunes and Amazon. I also check out the charts in US, UK and Japan.
Piano pop singer-songwriter Ben Folds is back with his third album. The first single features Russian piano pop singer-songwriter, famous for the song, “Fidelty”, which I was not a huge fan of. But on this track, Spektor is a nice addition. It’s a fun duet. The new album is due out in end of September, but several of his songs were leaked on the internet in June. Ben Folds later admitted that he recorded ‘fake’ versions just for fun and leaked the songs himself.
