About This Site
Each month I select 20 songs (10 songs twice a month) that I am either hooked on or am curious about. Most of the music I select are rock, hip-hop, R&B and pop songs.
My song selection comes from 20-30 CDs I get from various sources each month, as well as recommendations from iTunes and Amazon. I also check out the charts in US, UK and Japan.
Two weeks ago, I reviewed half-Japanese singer,
Marie Digby. This time I came across Meiko, who is quarter Japanese (but unlike Marie, Meiko doesn’t speak Japanese). They don’t look alike, but the way they approach music writing sounds quite similar to me. Meiko released her debut album last year, but was recently signed to MySpace Records, and her album was re-released. This laid back track was also a free download at Amazon MP3 store (for those that reside in US). In Japanese, her name would be pronounced “May-ko” but she pronounces it as “Mee-ko”. This site,
