Each month I select 20 songs (10 songs twice a month) that I am either hooked on or am curious about. Most of the music I select are rock, hip-hop, R&B and pop songs.
My song selection comes from 20-30 CDs I get from various sources each month, as well as recommendations from iTunes and Amazon. I also check out the charts in US, UK and Japan.
There has been a lot of Amy Winehouse-ish singers from UK recently such as Adele and Duffy. Now there is American version of throw-back artist. Little Jackie consists of Imani Coppola (no relation to director Francis Ford), who had a brief hit in the late 90s with “Legend of a Cowgirl” and DJ, programmer, Adam Pallin. This track gained popularity after it was used for the opening of VH1’s “New York goes to Hollywood” show.
