About This Site
Each month I select 20 songs (10 songs twice a month) that I am either hooked on or am curious about. Most of the music I select are rock, hip-hop, R&B and pop songs.
My song selection comes from 20-30 CDs I get from various sources each month, as well as recommendations from iTunes and Amazon. I also check out the charts in US, UK and Japan.
One of my new favorites bands right now. Flobots are an unique full band hip-hop rock group that also has a violist, hailing from Denver, Colorado. The rapping is only mediocre (a bit weaker version of Eminem), but the music, the message and the performance is awesome. Even though they are considered to be a hip-hop group, this song was picked up by many alternative rock stations, and it is even #3 on Modern Rock chart now. I recommend their album, which was recently released nationwide after they signed to Universal Republic record. I’m looking forward to seeing them live this summer.
